I just bought a 03 XLT w/rss. I can not find the sensors on the back bumper. I do not know if the rear bumper has been replaced or not. Are the sensors available? How easy and where would they be installed?
There are alot of aftermarket companies that have reverse sensors, some of which have displays that can even give you distance to the object that it is sensing. How good those are I don't know, but you can either go aftermarket or I'm sure if you want the factory ones they can be bought seperately. I would get some feedback on the aftermarket ones as more often then not aftermarket is going to be better then factory(now the reverse has been true at times, but more then likely aftermarket is going to be better) and then see which one strikes your fancy.

all reported excellent results... YRMV
WELL worth the money - I woulda POPPED a little car yesterday.... he pulled up so close I couldn't see him in the rear view... was in a hurry & had to back up to go around and it started screamin at me as soon as I put it in reverse...JUST stopped short !!!
I will have to look into the the after market parts. The truck was bought used so I don't know if the truck just had the rear bumper replaced or if it was in a crash.
