I have a 95 f-150 flare side. I have a small block 302 in it. My dad races swamp bugges and had a built 460 with about 900hp. He built a 383 so he sold me the 460 i want to put it in my truck. But it has a carburetor on it and mine is fuel injection. Do i have to switch the intakes or is there something i can do to leave it with the carburator? And i already have a built c6 trannsmission and stock heads with a little work to them and a diffrent crank. So i can run pump gas. What do i have to do.
The 302 and 460 share absolutely nothing in common so you are looking at a complete powertrain swap here.. engine, transmission, driveshaft and rear axle, because that big block would shred the stock F150 parts if you could bolt it up... which you can't. There are no parts on the 302 that will work on the 460 so it would seem like you are using a carb on it.. hopefully you don't have emissions tests to pass because it wouldn't even come close.
