I would need some suggestions from you guys. I dont like the sound from my single exhaust (272) but I can't afford Ram Horns and dual exhaust right now.
I use the crossover pipe, stock exhaust manifolds, 2" pipes with one oval muffler about ( 14"x 9" x 4 1/2" ) and the exhaust ends up just before the Rear End. I would appreciate "low budget" suggestions from you. like a different muffler. I suppose it's pointless with a wider pipe when I still use the stock crossover pipe/manifolds. Thanks!
On a low budget I would install a single "Smithy's" muffler. They sound real good and I have run just one on a y block to save a few bucks and it sounded very good.
You could also remove the cross over, make a block off for the pass side front.
Have an exhaust shop make a turn down from the front of the Driver side manifold and run it back to get duals
Thanks Kevin!
I think I will go for the Smithy's glasspack and maybe save up some money for Ram Horns and dual exhaust later. What case length do you recommend? 22", 26" or 30"?
Mats
Thanks Kevin!

I will second the glasspacks and would stay with a longer length. I have a pair of 18" on my dual exhaust 312. They tended to rap quit a bit, I finally installed a crossover to mellow them out. 22" will be considerably louder than 30".
Ram Horns and duals sounds great but I cant afford it at this moment. (Ram Horns only are about Us$ 700 with shipping overseas and with all taxes!!!!) Just let me know if you know of a used pair!
I will try with a Smithy's 26" and maybe extend the pipe to the rear. Thanks a lot guys!!
On both truck in the vids they have about 12" of pipe after the mufflers. The red truck they turn down and the yellow truck they are straight and maybe a little longer but notmuch
