Still have another month of Allstate roadside assistance for what it's worth. I will take this Hawthorne run, and then put the truck and trailer up for sale. God willing, I will find a Ranger I can fit into to take its place. Maybe even a 4x4, so I can still make the Pismo run in February next year.

ATV's will fit, but big bikes probably not. Since I have to get an extended cab, that means the bed is only 6 feet long. So, I will most likely buy one of those utility trailers from harbor freight, and add some 5/8" pressure treated plywood to it for the big bikes. Only $349 for the trailer, and then I would also get a spare tire carrier, and spare tire.

Welcome back Sparky. I know all too well about life getting in the way.
Rick, I am going to list the trailer for $2,000. I will keep the winch on it, but unless you buy the truck too, you will need to either wire your truck for the winch or add a deep cycle battery to the trailer to power the winch. I have an 18 inch extension cable that plugs into the winch and then a receptacle under the rear bumper to power it now. There is a kill switch under the hood between the truck's battery and the receptacle. I just turn a key and it supplies the 12v needed to run it. I will be putting both up in the for sale/trade thread, but I have one more tow to do, so I am going to wait until that is over. I picked up a used tire from a local tire shop for the truck yesterday in case I have another flat on this last run.

I was at work today, well at a supplier's site. A guy I'm working with, who was not born here, said, "it's nothing special, just the 4th of July." Well. I gave him a nice backhanded slap to the chest and said, "for those of us who were born and raised here the 4th of July is the greatest day of the year." I think he got the point.
