Thank you everyone for the puppy condolences. That was one of the hardest things I've dealt with in a long time. Losing so many within such a short amount of time. Obviously I was only meant to be an EMT for humans, not animals.
(sigh) I gave it my best effort at the time, guess God must've needed them more than we did. At least the 2 remaining pups are doing good & there's only 5 more days until they are out of the danger zone. I think their going to be okay after all! The spotted one is a little boy & the black one is a little girl. They eat like little piggys, gorging themselves until they have milk coming out of their noses. I know it's not cleft palettes, cause I've already looked, so it's gotta be that their over eating. They're both so cute...lil' chunky monkeys! LOL
Well, off to Listia... one of my favorite FREE online auction sites.
Have a great day
On the 14th I passed a milestone. I am now seventy!
Tuesday I had a cataract removed, saw the Doc today and he says I now have 20-20 vision and it will likely improve as my eye heals.
We have had some great summer weather.... cool with occasional rain, complete with lightning and thunder but no major fires resulting.
So Ms Donna, let's have some new puppy pictures, OK?
Busy day today. I have to find work! I was supposed to be working the Silver Dollar Classic Car Show, but due to a scheduling misunderstnading they found someone else.... Darn it! Really could've used the money too considering I've been out of work for almost a year now. Ofcourse the broken foot didn't help either!
The puppies are doing fine. I'll try to post new pictures today or tomorrow.
They're getting so gosh darn big & cute!
Well, I better get to job hunting.
Have a great day!
Thanks everyone. I did make the trip to San Diego to see my son. I took him my MIG welder to use one his project car. He is converting an Acura Integra coupe (91 I think) to pure electric. I did help him out with it. He is at the point of making motor mounts to put his AC electric motor in the car. Still has a lot to do. I have a LOT of experience with engine conversions and a lot of that accumulated knowledge does apply. He was smart and rebuilt the suspension and the brakes first. It was really fun working together and I was happy that I could get him past a few sticky items and advance the project a little. That made for a good b'day.
Well, God blessed me with a new job yesterday. I start on Monday as a Pit Driver at a local mining company. This is going to be interesting. I've never driven heavy equipt before (other than a fire engine - but thats way different), but they're going to train me so I can get my CDL.
So, I won't be on here as much working 6 days a week.
On a different note, I have to call a vet when I'm done here & see if I should bring the pups in. They both get done nursing & then milk comes out of their little noses. The lil' black female is super congested & I thik she has a lung infection now. Maybe she asperated some milk, but I can hear congestion in her lungs. Other than that, they're doing great! Full of energy when they're awake & nursing every chance they get. It's so cute to watch them sleep. Their little paws & bodies move like they're dreaming about running or maybe swimming. LOL! It's adorable.
I'll try to get some pictures today & post them.
Better get going. Have a great day!
I thought I should check in and say "Hi"! I have not posted in a while in the chapter forum but I still do check the FTE forums regularly. Been busy with work and looking for a new job because it's time for me to move on to something new. Have a great weekend!
Happy belated Birthday Bruce.
Cute pups Donna.
We're up at our place in the Northern Arizona mountains for three days. Thundershowers yesterday. Really nice today. Went & did some flea marketing. Found a vintage Coleman gas stove in really nice condition It was built between 1948-53.
Have some work to do tomorrow. My helper from last year is going to help me gather up slash from all the tree trimming, plus the wood.
