I can't afford it, but I thought I would share this and see what you all thought about it. It seems like a pretty good deal. It is an 08 F-250 6.4 x-cab long bed 4x4 with 58000 miles for $9000. It has a cracked piston, but is seems like a very good deal if you put the money into a rebuild. 2008 ford f250 diesel
Very true. My Ford price is the Worst case price with the Best Warrantee
I did not look up a Ford Short Block. But I think a Long Block would
be a better option if you have the funds. Never know what might of
happened to the heads when the piston got cracked.
love when guys use the "I know what I got so no low ballers"......if he could fix it and make more money he would.....trucks probably been ridden hard and put away...well you know many times.......what you got is a truck needing serious coin to make drivable again plus who knows what other parts needing repair from lead foot abuse......for the hassle it`d have to be 5-6k 6500 maybe

He admits it basically needs a new engine...how could it be worse than that? Some people just don't want to bother fixing it. I might be selling my truck exactly the same way. I'll take a loss but it also cost time and money to fix it, so it's a wash.
Around here that truck would be at least $20-25k if it ran (I've been looking for that exact truck on craigslist) so $9000 isn't bad if you can pop an engine in for $6000.
But all he posted was one outside photo. CL is free so it
up to you to take advantage of that and post as many photos
to entice more buyers. Also he does not say if it has a clean
title or not.
But if one was interested in that truck asking for more photos and info
on the title would be some of the basic things to ask.

As somebody who buys and sells things for a living...most people don't know how to sell things. I buy/sell boats and parts, I can't tell you how often somebody will send me a picture of a boat with a tarp on it and expect me to see underneath it! As much as I hate dealing with stupid people, that's usually where you get the best deal....
But yes, this is one you'd want to inspect very closely before buying...
