Replacing quarter panel

I'm starting to replace the quarter panel on my bronco just had a quick question what's the best way to separate the fender and the inner fender on the wheel well?

quarter panel

Back in 1965 I did body work so my methods are dated. We used to drill out the spot welds if we couldn't peel the sheet metal off. Patrick

Yeah, I was trying to ask my dad about it since he replaced the quarters on my '96. He doesn't remember if they used an angle grinder or if they cut out the spot welds. I know east wood has a real nice bit for drilling out spot welds.

Ok so I guess you just got to find the spot welds and go from there hard to see on mine due to previous owners painting habits haha

angle grinder makes quick work of them especially since you aren't saving it. So paint can become bare metal in no time.
