Smart Junction Box
I stared noticing that my back drivers side power window switch wasn't working. Heard sparks snapping the wiring knuckle (rubber boot) between the door and the body.
(I must mention I am an electronics technician, but my specialty is not automotive)
When I opened the boot, I found melted wiring. I was able to repair, solder and shrink tube the wiring and save it.
Window started working fine.
Once I got into the truck I could smell electrical burning smell.
While the wiring was arcing inside the boot, it did something to the relay for the power lock system. The smell was coming from the smart junction box.
My question is: Can these be opened up to expose the relays/junctions?
Thanks in advance
