7 Pen Connector Install in Bed of 2014 F350

I have a 2014 F350 CC 4X4 dually that I need to install a 7 pen female electrical receiver inside the bed. My fifth wheel 7 pen cable is a little short and disconnects when I make sharp turns (connected to the outside just below the bumper). I think there is an after-market plug-and-play connector that I can install, but I can't find one. I would like to install it on the driver's side, just behind the wheel well or close to the tailgate if possible. Does anyone know if someone makes this and if so, is there an online video of how to install it? Thanks for your help.

I would suggest going going back to ford for this part. It will be a plug and play as the harness is already under the truck. The factory when bought has the plug behind the wheel well as well.

Tousley ford is one of our vendors on here that is priced well. They are a autonation now.

Mine was not plug and play but it is a 6 ft harness attached to a 7 pin connector. I have to rewire it in because my the connector that the bumper 7 pin plugs into went bad so I had to get a new 7 pin connector and make a small harness. It would be a lot easier is you didn't need to make the connections under the truck. Do a search for 5th wheel trailer harness and you will find them.

Thanks for the help. Found the following web site on e-trailer: Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug Hopkins Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring 41157. Has the part and a video on how to install. Harness should arrive end of next week. Thanks again for the input.

be sure to mount it back and up as far as possible without hitting the outside metal so it's easier to plug in when the rv is connected

don't ask me how I know !!! the tools that moved my 5er hitch from the old truck to new put it way up behind the wheel well and it couldn't be reached without a ladder !!!

Thanks for the advice. I know people that have the connection in front of the wheel well and as tall as the beds are these days on 4X4's, you better be real tall with real long arms. I really sorta liked the bumper connection for ease, if only the cable was long enough. Didn't like the cable dangling outside of the truck, though.

I bought this harness from eTrailer about 2 years ago also because I didn't like my cord hanging over the tailgate.
It's a quality product, you'll be very happy

Added Note: eTrailer has awesome prices, I was able to buy my Reese R16 for a couple hundred less through them as well (shipped to my door)
