I have a stock 2013 F350 6.7 auto crew cab short bed with 7500 miles. My turbo seems to flutter sometimes whenever it wants and I can never get it to do it when I want to show someone. Sometimes I've had it do it at 35mph in 3rd gear and I've had it do it at 55mph when I let off the pedal all with empty bed and no trailer. I took it to the dealer and they told me its fine, that's it not like my last truck (2008 f250 6.4) and that I should be concerned if it doesn't flutter. Does this sound correct?

Ok thank you for your time. I just thought it was strange to do it not under a load. My last truck only did it under a load (pulling a Chevy 2500 with a enclosed trailer through a field in a foot of snow).

When it's fluttering do you also hear like a metal snapping sound and do you notice it when it's in regeneration as well if you do what is happening is the exhaust valves on left head are pushing exist gases back there is a tsb to replace the valves but vehicle has to be in regeneration for tsb to apply and flutter is the exhaust pulses pushing back into the turbo which makes turbo flutter sound
No metal snapping sounds that I've noticed. Just what sounds to me as a flutter when I let off the pedal. It did it again last night when I let off the pedal pulling up to a stop sign at 20mph.

This may or may not help, depding on the build date of your truck. The TSB that it supersedes (11-12-14) called for the replacement of the trubo which they did with mine. This one came out late after mine was replaced under TSB 11-12-14. I had a hard time reporducing mine but finially got it to flutter with a FORD Tech in the truck.
