I have a 95 F150 4.9l 5sp that is hard to start in the mornings and after sitting for 10hrs at work. It won't start on the first key turn but starts right up on the second key turn every time. I can simply crank once for half a second knowing it won't start, then crank a second time and it starts great. Once started it idles smooth and will start up fine if shut down.
Another symptom:
Occasionally, when depressing the clutch pedal to start, I will only hear a click on key turn without the engine turning over, but usually it will work on the second try.
I haven't had the truck for long and it has only 55k miles on it so the ignition parts might be original, possibly even the plugs. Any help will be appreciated.
