I'm looking to make about 450HP. I'm trying to stay away from hybrid injectors if at all possible because of the lower injection pressure. Our area just started emission testing, and worried that alone could make it fail....dunno.
I've only seen two places that make anything over 160cc single shot and below 200cc hybrids. Swamps and PIS.
Listed in order of preference...
PIS is a 175/80 over nozzle, these would put me right there power wise... PIS 175/80
or
I could spend a couple hundred more with these and room to grow and have them detuned for now. I would probably ask to have a 100% nozzle installed instead of 200%. PIS 225/200

I don't see how required pressures that are lower than non-hybrid sticks would cause you to fail.
Mild/moderate (subjective, I know) hybrids allow you to utilize your stock HPOP without needing to upgrade the HPOS in order to run injectors that require higher than stock oil pressure.
Injectors that require lower pressures to run in their optimum range won't show up in an emissions test vs. injectors that require a higher oil pressure to run in their optimum range.
Conversely, if the tune isn't spot on or if you don't have a specific tune for emissions, then sticks that require a higher oil pressure to run in their optimum range vs sticks that don't require as high of an oil pressure, can easily show in an emissions test because they'll produce more smoke.
I can see where your coming from. I guess I've just seen too many vids of hybrids hazing while idling. Granted most are cold starts, but the last thing I want is it puffing even when it is up to operating temp!
I forgot to mention, I also have a T-500 to install when I decide which ones to go with. I was kinda set on getting 238's from FF before I found these.....I don't know how to narrow them down!
What are your plans with the truck will pretty much help people suggest what sticks to go with.
If you go big and tow your tunes better be spot on. Even better would be to have your rig live tuned or you could end up in the wrong end of the EGT spectrum. Just my .02

Nice rig by the way!
I wanna keep it tow friendly, I pull between 6-8K.
I'm hoping for power of a new chipped truck, but still DD friendly. Honestly 400rwhp would probably be fine for now and little to no more down the road...
Thanks for the compliment, people are surprised when I tell 'em it only has 80K on the clock
I don't know if this qualifies, but I bought new 160/30's from PIS. That's new AC bodies with 30% nozzle. I like them well enough. I hindsight, maybe an 80% nozzle would have been a better choice for the tow pig.

I hear ya Dan. Seems everything I've read lately, EVERYONE claims tuning 100% nozzles is not an issue anymore. Alot of people don't even bat an eye at 200% nozzles.
When I was pretty set on getting 238's, Matt @ Gearhead recommended the 238/80 from Unlimited. He said they were a little easier to tune than 100's. After running his tunes and seeing how clean they are, I'm guessing he's a perfectionist! I'm impressed
I will make the suggestion for you to go at least a little bigger then you might want. I'll explain, I just went from my SD to my now new to me truck 300rwhp to 450-500 rwhp.... The difference is a retarded little giggle I now can't control when I drive the new truck. Yes it is fast fun and efficient, BUT if I can make it a little funner (which I can very easily) you can bet I'm going to once I really get to know it's power level now.
In other words I would leave room to grow.

John,
I hear where ya coming from on the leave a little room for growth. But, I'm trying to hold myself to a reliable DD. I really don't wanna window my block, nor do I wanna build an engine with studs, rods, pistons, springs, girdle, etc! 400HP seems to be a reliable threshold. The next step is a built trans, as I wanna put them in together...

Go with what your tuner suggests. Unlimited offers a lifetime warranty, obviously not against normal wear and/or if something gets past your filter.
Plain ol' new Stage IIs (with all the supporting mods) gives me more power than I ever plan on taking to the limit again... and I love the way it drives like stock when I choose (with proper tuning). Oh... and I average 17.5 MPG on summer fuel.
While I haven't dealt with any other injector provider, Full Force Diesel has excellent customer support... and that means something to me.

I've heard FF has a good reputation. While there seems to be fewer people here running PIS, there seems to be more over at PSArmy. Joe (CSIPSD) being one of them, maybe its just his flavor of the month....dunno
I won't be going with "new" as I have a set of cores to send in to be modified.
