WTF???? A/C

My A/C will be working fine and intermittently goes warm. checked the charge and it's full. I can't figure this out. could it be the high or low side sensors or switches? if so, which one is the common one to take a dump? it's kind of frustrating.

Check your Clutch air gap

Check out the link below
Works like a champ!

My truck has 291,000 and just started the cold / warm air thing. I followed the instr. and all worked out well, back to blowing 57 degree air(continuously)!!

Here is a simple video on how to fix it based on Pops write up.

If that fix does not work, the next step would be to take a close look at the condenser coil in front of the radiator. If that is clogged with debris, the high pressure cutout will shut off the compressor. Or there may be a low pressure from too little Freon in the system which will drop out the compressor when the low pressure switch operates. This can happen intermittently. The low pressure should be checked and serviced by a shop, as they check for leaks, evacuate and weigh new charge before installing the gas in the system. Larry

One other potential is the alternator. When mine was going out, I would intermittently get warm air from the A/C. A new alternator took care of the problem until my air gap got too large on the compressor clutch. Then I removed the stock shim and got ice-air again.
