I'm wanting to put a front bumper and winch on my 14DRW.....what are you guys using?......would like a 16K winch and maybe not a huge amount of weight added to the front end
wow 16k is a mocho winch.I guess better too much then not enough.I thought a 12k was plenty for our trucks but the price difference is probley marginal to go to the 16.
westin is a nice looking option if your looking for a grille guard/ winch mount combo but if your into the hidden winch fusion and fab fours make some really nice bumpers that I'm looking into getting for myself
I run an 8K lb winch on a 6K lb vehicle used for rockcrawling. Most will say that I'm underwinched, but I have yet to stall my Warn and if I need more winch, I pull out the pulley and it becomes a 16K winch. The hardest part of winching is sometimes finding enough of an anchor to latch onto.
I think you'd be fine with 12K, but it depends on how stuck you plan on getting.
I have Buckstop bumpers on each of our trucks. 2001 F150, 2005 Excursion, 2007 F350. 12K winches on the Ex and the F350. They are painted to match the truck paint.
