I have my original steelies 16 inch rim,,,argent,,,Its funny back in the day when I picked this truck up ,steelies big deal and why is this frame narrower than my buddies with his rear gas tank...no internet, junkyard guys had all the answers.and cummins started putting motors in dodges,go figure, hell of a contract
I'm going to have to find a set of those econoline rims. They look great. Anyone know the offset?
I have 90's s econoline wheels on my Camper Special and they have the tabs for hub caps. Measured them the other day ; 16x7" and 4.5" backspace. Wheel Vintiques makes steelie 8 bolt wheels in 7, 8, and 10 inch widths, thinking about upgrading to 8" wide for a deeper dish and keeping my hub caps. Check em out, called series 82 wheels, seems a pile of the Chevy guys are running them.

Cool, thanks. May have to swap out my Cragar soft 8's.
There she is with the steelies. I'll probably get them powder coated when I get my new tires so they will match the truck better. I think I like the no hub cap look for right now so I'll stick with that.
Didn't know if you were still looking for a set of steel wheels or not, but I have an original set of 16" 8 lug steel wheels off of my 1969 F-250 with older good condition bias ply tires. I can get you pictures if you like, let me know. Thanks.
rsfabrication-the blade style are called Hurricanes. the 15 fin are the best looking on the dents. AND i just happen to have a set that are polished. rears are 16.5 X 9.75, fronts are 16.5 X 8.75.
Sorry for the hijack, 1974F26. If you go with a set of steel wheels, let me know, I have a decent set of 8-lug factory hub caps you can have...a few dings and scratches, but still quite nice. Somewhere on here, there is a thread on how to cut the center out of the front caps (just like in red's photo) for your hubs. They end up looking great.
David
Any chance you still have those hubcaps? Also do you have any idea to find the thread you were talking about? I have an 86 f250 and want this look

The caps that I have are the earlier style shown in post #48. You are welcome to them, but you would probably be better off looking for that exact style you show in your pic.
Do the ones in the picture above come with lockout hub openings? I noticed the ones you have have a logo/emblem in the middle of the cap and these dont.
If you look at post #33 you will see that the center has to be cut out on these for the lock out hub. They never made these to be put on a 4x4. I do believe that the later style caps you show can be found with the proper hub hole in them from the factory.
i'll be going with these, found them up in my garage a few months ago. forgot i had them .
Did these only come in 16.5"? Secondary question is there aftermarket wheels similar to this in a different size? Like 17" so I could actually find tires?
