I have been there (your site and others)and I'm still a little behind the on the knowledge
I'm a little short on bracket measurements and placement ok to send you a pm with a ? Or two once in awhile ?
Sorry to correct you Mike, it's Rhopper. At this point, support the car with jack stands, and the sub frame with a floor jack and start unbolting. I used an atv/motorcycle jack for under the sub frame as it has a very large jack surface. If you're going to use oe jag flexible brake lines, make sure you keep the hard line connectors. Take measurements of the location of the top shock mounts to help in fabbing the new ones. Take pictures before you disassemble anything so you know how it goes back together when your grandson scatters it all over the garage. Don't be shy about contacting any of us for info.
I will also chime in.I just had an offline communication with another FTE member on the subject of positioning the jag under his chassis. As we talked on the phone, I was looking/measuring at my installed front end and he doing the same on his. It is a good way to go.

Thank you Guys for the support I got a little delay I'm in Tucson with dad he's got health problems before I left Cali I was looking hard and long at the shock mount it's to bad that it's sheet metal spot welded to fender
I have a motorcycle platform but no wheels on it, I used my floor jack but it fell off close to ground o will it's cleaned up
I going to take more measurements next week thanks again
You should also be sure to keep the steering column ujoints and connectors if you are going to use the rack and pinion off the jag. Be sure to get the one under the dash also. The power steering pump and hoses should be salvaged also.
Under the dash? Ujoints under I got,the column(wood steering wheel)I got, pump I got. anything else not going irs
Xj6 jag I got to sell minus a few parts
Brake parts? Hard lines will do, what about master
I used an XJS V12 and there was a knuckle under dash on column if I remember correctly. But I was taking a lot of stuff off it in a junk yard so maybe I'm mixing something up it wouldn't hurt to check just to be sure.

I haven't been able to do much on the f1 for a week or so but got the jag on the trailer so that made some room in the shop so I took the axle off.
did a little lay out for the ifs my measurements are very close to Dave's (drptop70ss)about a 1/2" back from the snubber hole is the center. Don't know which way to level the frame at the ifs mount could shim but I the frame will be thick at that point(over3/4"). Maybe cut and weld I saw 48steel used that method
