Help id engine

hi guys. new to forum. just looking for help id'ing this 400 as a Cleveland or w or m

Looking at buy 79 f150 with a 400 engine. but does the 400 come in a Cleveland and modified ? valve covers have 8 bolt and the tag on covers has code D9TE-9C485-BVA.
truck id number is X14SKDJ4474.

what is the potential of this motor?

There are no "variations" of a 400. It's simply a "400." Ford produced a destroked version called a 351M, but the "M" does not stand for anything (officially). There is also a 351 Cleveland and 351 Windsor. But a 400 is just a 400, regardless of what the Chevy guy at the gas station told you.

As for the potential of the 400, it depends on who you talk to. Some love it, some hate it.
