my 99 f150 super crew cab has a bad frame under the box of my truck and while inspecting the damage I notice that the frame is in 2 pcs. I am thinking that I could separate the 2 pcs and replace the bad section of the frame.
The 2 pcs of the frame are C channel and fit inside each other and are riveted together at the front hanger bracket for the leaf spring . Then upon replacing the section of the frame; replace the rivets with bolts.
Has anyone out there done such a repair and if so give me some advice
Thanks
Bob
