2004 6.0 caught fire
So we repossessed a 2004 6.0 f-350 a couple weeks ago. When we went to go repo it almost every sensor, line, and hose was disconnected, and the ignition fuse was pulled.
Anyways we reconnected everything, put a new ignition fuse in, and charged the battery's and got it started. After we got it started there was smoke coming through the dash and had a pretty massive oil leak.
The bank that had us repossess it wanted us to fix it so they could sell it.
We did some searching and sound out it was the icp sensor that was leaking. When we took the old one off the gasket was completely gone. We replaced it and no oil leak.
Yesterday Friday the 13th we went to take it for a test drive and not even 1/2 mile down the road it starts smoking through the dash again. We pull over and pop the hood and it's on fire.
The pickup burnt to the ground and the bank wants technical explanation why, and we're not really sure what to tell them?
