My dad has an 88 F150 4.9i6 it is running rough I had him do a tune up and the next problem was as it was running out of fuel. I had replaced the fuel filter about 6000 miles ago and fuel pump under drivers seat on frame does not have duel fuel filters.

It started running worse sounded like a clogged cat from what he was telling me. I had him replace both cats, o2 sensor and new muffler. Has had fuel pressure test said it was 43psi? Now coming up with codes 67, 33 and 31. one of the codes says bad computer. Since I am in Ohio and he is in New Orleans I cannot run there each time something is wrong. I need to find somewhere where I can find out what the codes mean. Therefore, I can have some kind of idea what I need to get to fix this. Thanks

well hjames,31 is signal voltage for egr valve is below minimum spec

33 is egr is not opening or is not closed all the way

and 67 is improper signals coming from1 of these(neutral drive switch,neutral gear switch,neutral pressure switch,clutch switch ,manual lever position sensor ,or air conditoner clutch

so this tells me 1 thing atleast it is pointing at the egr valve
