75 f100 keeps breaking down ..

Happy New Year everyone from New Orleans... Alright , I got this F100 I can jump in it and drive it , but after about 5 miles it doesnt stall but it bogs down until you get to about 25 and dies... If I let it sit a day , it will crank right up and run for a little while....

I am getting spark and fuel , I changed the ignition module and the coil , all the fuel filters .It just starting acting up like this , after its first 60 mile trip ..so i dropped the tank and changed the tank filter too and removed the trash...

has anyone had this problem ?

.

When it dies, immediately go check for fuel & spark.

I checked both , the fuel looked a little low in the inline filter i have before the carb , so i changed the tank filter thinking that its so clogged up its starving the motor... I am putting it together now and going for a test ride ......

Where can I find a diagram of the vacuum lines and their locations

I would want to use a fuel pressure gauge to test the fuel pressure at the carb inlet.

Could be a bad coil. Next time it dies pop the hood and feel the coil to see if it's HOT not just warm.

I just went through something similar on my '78 F150. Rust dust from the fuel tank had passed the filter and clogged everything in the carbeurator. Would run for a few minutes then bog down and die. Had good spark and fuel pressure. I had to disassemble the carb, clean it and reassemble it. I threw all new gaskets and seals in while I was at it...$25 bucks in a rebuild kit and an hour of my time and now it screams.
