Howdy guys (&gals!)
Well, fist time out and I've got a P0238.
28000 miles since new on this '05 F350.
Towing a fairly light load. Got in on a hill. Boost press is less than the redline on the pull.
I don't have the scan guage set up yet to read boost. Guess I should do that.
I've cleared the code and will see if it comes back. I guess it could be the sensor or even a sticky unison.
Anybody?

P0238 Turbo/Super Charger Boost Sensor A Circuit High Default inferred MAP - low power, slow acceleration, MAP
voltage is greater than 4.91
MAP circuit short to Vref or Vbat, defective sensor.

There's no indication of power loss.
Im thinking its a sensor problem. In about 500 miles, it only did it twice on 5 pretty hard full throttle pulls.
Now that think about it. I believe I saw the boost gage abruptly go to zero momentarily at one time. Maybe some chafing going on?

Update. It did it again on the return trip, under a pretty good load going up a hill.
I also observed the instrument panel gage go momentarily and abruptly to zero right before it set the P0238.
It appeared to slightly reduce power when the gage went to zero but maybe the ECM tries to reduce fuel flow when it senses an abrupt reduction in boost.
