Well justt got back from first road trip (not towing). Clocked 18.8 mpgs! Its pretty shocking. Typically I get 17.3 roughly 75% hwy already. Hit the hills and drove it harder than I normally do and it kept on going up the harder I drove it. Anyways thought I would share. Oh and passing 8 cars up a steep hill is pretty sweet, truck is a rocket compared to my old 6.0L
18.8 MPG is Great!!! I need to find out the route that some of you folks take for road trips that only go down hill for a complete round trip.
I get tickled if I see an average above 15.5MPG. Of course maybe I can blame it on the 3:73 ratio, dual rear wheels, and 4x4.
Doesn't matter, I love this truck and all that it brings with it....even a healthy appetite.
I love my drw too and I'm tickled with 14.5mpg. If I was to ever get 15.5 I would alert the press to brag about it. But when I'm on the highway I run 75+
The more I drive the truck the more I love it. Really need to get my hitch in it see how it does with about 15K behind it. Oh and some air bags. I like the softer ride compared to 2 previous trucks but it squats way too easy.
