Ok, here is an update. I removed the shims and adjusted that rod. I also ended up replacing both rear calipers, as we had a hell of a time crushing that caliper. I've been running it for awhile now, and it seems good. Time will tell though, and I will update as I go.
Thanks Again!

Another update to my thread.
The back breaks are still good.
The front not so much!
A week ago when I was running I64 through Virginia, them folks favorite driving style bit me. Tooling along at 85mph, and every one stopped dead......for apparently no reason.
I'm thinking the drivers side front caliper got destroyed in that mishap, as whenever I break hard it shoots to the passenger side. Also, the drivers side wheel is black, and the others are all still shiny.
Let me tell you, a Super Duty with a ton in the bed, 35" tires, and 85-0mph, is pretty hairy! If the guy in front of me hadn't gone for the ditch, I would have an expensive bill on my hands. Both feet on that stop pedal, trying to, wishing, I could have over road the abs. (I realize the abs is probably what saved me, but a was pushing for more.)

Good thing you fixed the brakes right before the incident.

Sounds like one of the drivers side pistons or pins is frozen causing the pad to drag on the rotor causing black dust as well as not as much pressure on the pads when stopping.
