67 cab on a 69?

Looking to get a new cab and a local has a 67 cab. I'm looking at swapping just the bare cab.

I know the heater controls are different, so I'll have to do some retrofitting, and I know the door parts are different, so I'm hoping my '69 doors will be able to fit? As far as I know the hinges are the same.

Instrument cluster doesn't matter to me as I'll be converting to round gauges anyway. Neither does the radio as my current cab has the radio delete plate.

Fuel tank doesn't matter as I'm swapping to a rear-mounted tank.

Basically, how doable is this swap?

Thanks

I don't imagine it wouldn't be. I'm just looking for a confirmation that it won't be a PITA. I remember reading somewhere the 67 door latch is different. Just wondering if that'd make my 69 doors not fit or what.

Maybe Bill can comment because I know the 67 had a lot of one year stuff, and the doors and hinges were part of that list I believe. I don't know if the mounts on the cab were different for the doors or not.

Yeah that's what I was hoping for. Bill would know. I don't see why Ford would change the bare cab in a generation but who knows. 67 was an oddball year.

You can use 1968/72 F100/750 doors on 1967 F100/750's since the hinges, outside door handles and the striker plates are the same.

1967: You push the inside handles forward to lock the doors. 1968/72's have door lock *****.

1967 F100/750 only: Door shells, inside window and door handles, vent frames and handles, door lock remote controls, window regulators, door latches. door lock cylinder rods, armrests.

And: Firewall, dash, radio, heater, brake & clutch pedals, bracket they suspend from under the dash. Master cylinders, P/B boosters, brake differential proportioning valves, low brake fluid warning lamp switch, ignition switch.

1967/72 F100/750: Same door related parts: Weatherstrips, upper/lower door hinges, glass, door lock cylinders.

Hey Tro. I remember quite a few months ago someone posted about this vintage a Bump. It had one 1967 and one 1968/ door on it.

Awesome, Bill. Thanks. Just have a question about this though.

How different are they? I would like to not have to find a '67 pedal set. I have an automatic though. Does that make a difference?

Found these two schematics on Fordification. As far as I can tell they're interchangeable but I may be missing something.

I would rather have 67 doors on my 70. I prefer how they lock and the handles open.

I've thought about it. The guy has doors too. If they're in good shape I'll grab them. If not, whatever.

Only the brake pedal is different if an A/T.

Pics can be deceiving, you need to look in the parts catalogs text section.

The brake light switch is different on the '67 compared to others. It was part of the brake pedal rod on the '67. The newer versions had a push button switch that the pedal arm pushed on when released.

As for the heater controls, I don't see that being a big deal. Still just a couple cables, just they are hooked to ***** you push/pull instead of sliding a lever design.

Thanks. Do you foresee any difficulty using my '69 brake pedal in the '67 cab?

As for the heater controls, I might just convert to the '67 because it's kinda cool pulling levers. The lower slider on my heater is seized in the "On" position anyway, so I'm getting constant heat.
