There are 2 ways to mount a compressor on the engine.
one is on the 4 bolt bosses next to the oil filter. I thin k but am not sure that is the way Ford did it. Of course if you go this route you will need a compressor with the 8 rib wide serpentine belt pulley.
The other way is found in post#1 of this thread Cummins swap parts thread - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum
It shows the way most aftermarket companys put a compressor on a B series Cummins. complete with part numbers.
