What A/C compressor should I use I have a 89 e250 serpentine belt with an old air kit I can't find one that works with the old air fittings and still mount to the bracket any ideas
what compressor did the E250 use? If it is not a variable displacement compressor you may be able to use it with the old air system after making up some custom hoses.
Otherwise I would guess you will be making brackets to adapt a sanderson compressor which seems to be the aftermarket standard now.

I have the same condition. My plan is to visit a scrap yard and look at all types of Ford vehicles until I find the right type a/c lines that bolt to the back of the compressor and point in the right direction. Then take that to an a/c shop and have them cut and paste hoses using the Ford a/c line block that bolts to the compressor.
I'm using that same A/C bracket on my 351W setup. I bought a Sanderson bracket adaptor off eBay or somewhere. It fit the Sanderson Compressor from Old Air fine but the holes didn't align up on the stock a/c bracket. They were not far enough apart to fit where the original Compressor bolts went. I had to do a slight modification but it worked. Basically I cut out the two bottom holes, welded some cut to size plates and re-drilled the holes. Not sure if this is an option for you but I couldn't figure anything else out.

I had a Sanderson and was going that same way but didn't want to make the adaptor and the one I had one hose pointed into the dizzy
