Thanks Mike, good info! Is the 460 a good motor if it's in good condition?

Yeah, it's a good motor. Just don't expect a lot of MPG out of it

mikeo0o0o0 shouldn't a "Camper Tow package Special" truck be a F250? I did not think they made that option in a 1/2 ton?

To the OP, the 460 is a good strong motor with some machine work and aftermarket $$ parts in it.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the seller is "making up" that name.
Ford had a "camper special" and also a "trailer special" but they never had a "camper tow package special".
If my somewhat foggy memory serves me, the "camper special" was available on F250 & 350 models. The "trailer special" had a light duty and heavy duty version and was available on F100-350 models.
And of course there's the "Super camper special" that was only on F350's with the 140" wheelbase.

78RangerInBama if you are getting that truck to just use the body on your running gear, keep in mind that the your title goes to your frame.

But having both titles to take to the DVM is a better idea and let them figure it out.

Bummer

went and saw the truck...unfortunately it was a "rust bucket" with what looked to be a great motor. Sounded and ran great, but you could see daylight out of the floorboards and above the windshield. Not much help for a guy needing body parts...

I'll keep lookin', but dang it gets old...thanks for all your inputs!
