Ok so years ago, I installed an Over boost Annihilator( thats what the vendor at the time called it anyway). I think it was recently turned by mistake ( but not by me ), can someone tell me how to adjust it correctly? Or any info on how I can check it? Thanks..Phil
Phil,
Are you getting a SES light and "overboost" code since the **** was turned? I usually hook up a known accurate gauge to "fooler", bench test with regulated air (set @ ~25 psi), and adjust to ~22 psi before installing. I, then, "fine tune" after the test drive. I have found that my MAP will trip "overboost" at anything over 21.7 psi, according to my Aeroforce Scangauge. You can also use your AE, or other scan, tool, to monitor the manifold pressure. I adjust the regulator in fine increments, usually no more than a couple of notches from the initial setting, until there is no SES/code.
i set mine with a pressure gauge on the outlet, and compressed air on the inlet. set it so i got no more than 20 lbs pressure on the outlet, then put it on the truck.
Thanks guys. I'm not getting a check engine light, but I'm pretty sure it was turned but I'm not sure which way or how many turns. I wasn't sure if I would suffer any kind of fueling issues or not, its probably paranoia and ocd kickin in. But thanks for the replies..Phil
it it was turned down it would not make any difference, just telling the MAP sensor you were only getting 17 lbs boost instead of 22.
it it was turned up though, you would know it, because you would get a SES light and de-fuel due to the MAP sensor seeing over boosting.

Yeah that's kinda what I was thinking but wanted a couple opinions to be sure..thanks.
