Hey guys was reading some info on doing 910 valve springs and I came across a thread where someone made a copy of the Ford valve spring tool and was loaning it out. However I haven't posted enough to PM so I have no way of contacting him. I know I've been lurking for a very long time! I plan to take a more active part in the future though. Anyway if he could reply or if someone has the specs I could make one myself. (I have access to a machine shop) Thanks in advance. Oh I think it was Muekster
Hey mueckster!
just got here, i'm having the heck of a time trying to find a valve spring compressor for my F350 7.3l 2001. Looked all over, locally and on the net, got one today but still won't do. the engine is on, there's no room for any tool i got... at the end of my rope, could you please help me out like you did Justin? Thx!
Thx, but this is the one i got from autozone and gave back. i'm working on the valve springs from the passenger's side and i cannot use the tool as there's not enough room between the firewall and the springs. i don't want to get the engine out so i'm stuck until i get the proper tool to do the job with so little space.
Thx Guys, really appreciate your help! you got me out of a tight spot! ordered the universal tool that KULTULZ suggested. got it from another site that was actually shipping right away as i need it presto... if what they told me wasn't BS I'll get it by tuesday. was not bad in price $127.06 no ship, no tax for me. got it @ toolsource.com

Thx, really appreciate the offer but as i live in the mid west & needed that little sucker now... like yesterday, i had to go to plan B. The ford is great but damn pricey

Here is the one I modeled after the OTC/Rotunda tool. You don't have to remove the injectors to use it, but the member that borrowed had his out when he took the picture. I still loan it out to other members. Just PM me for shipping details and such.
This is an example of something that makes me most proud of mechanics, both amateur and professional-their willingness to fabricate a tool! And then there are the companies that make these weird tools with no idea how many they will sell. That takes guts, so my hat is off to them as well.
I did some bullet-proofing on my son's 6.0 and needed to bend the a/c tubing from the compressor just a little bit, so I modified a 1" threaded tee fitting with a grinder and band saw and voila, a tubing bender. It does seem to take some time though to figure out the puzzle, maybe that is what makes it fun?

I'll do that! & thx for the link, might become handy one day or another
for me it might be the one and only before long, at least i hope... it's a big job to fool with, but gotta do what you gotta do.
