Loaner Tool Thread

Hey all,
I figured this might be a helpful thread, like the map of members with AE. Anybody willing to list what 7.3 specific tools you have that you'd be willing to loan or rent to another? I was thinking something along the lines of a PayPal deposit plus 2 way shipping and an agreed return date.

I have a Rotunda valve spring compressor. It works much better than the universal compressors on the rear of the heads. Hopefully in a couple of weeks, I'll have a compression tester made up.

What do yall think?

Brad...will the spring compressor work to change valve guide seals while the head is on the engine...in frame?

Yes. Once you pull the rocker arm, the compressor threads into one of the holes in the head and hangs over the valve. You can put a ratchet on it to compress the spring and remove the retainers, then loosen the compressor and it swings out of the way. It works great on the rear of the heads, under the cowling.

Well, this thread didn't go where I expected it to. Anyway, thanks to my latest trials and tribulations, my rental tool fleet has grown to include:

0-60psi liquid filled gauge on a #4 orb to put on the HPOP reservoir, to check LPOP performance.

0-3000psi liquid filled gauge on a #6 orb and #6 orb plug to dead head a suspect HPOP.
