1966 wrong bed on Ebay
I sell on ebay a lot and have had my descriptions stolen by sellers selling the same type of item. When I find them I report them to ebay.
I just tried to call the seller of this truck to get more information about it but only got his voice mail.
He's had the truck for about six months, The "Old Farmer" he bought it from had lots of money and didn't mind throwing money at this. The "Old Farmer" got tired of this project and sold it to him.
Kevin, who is the new owner bought it and did the interior as well as the engine compartment. He bought the carpet kit from an internet company that sells all kinds of ford parts, but he doesn't remember their name.
He had the seat re-upholstered and the headliner is original.
Everything else was done.
He also says he has another 66 that he's working on.
I asked him if I bought the truck, can he put me in touch with the "Old Farmer" he said maybe he'll have to ask the "Old Farmer" if he can give out his number.
I asked about the bed, he's not sure of the year maybe a 87 or 89 ford bed.
He knew nothing of the hydraulic ram used to lift the bed. That was all done before he bought it.
Second, he has had the truck for 2 months at best. My brother did have a lot of projects and this one he worked on for the last 5 years. It was to be his work truck (he's a handyman of sorts, hence the dump bed) but the truck turned out too nice for a work truck.
The engine modifications were done by my brother including the dual exhaust, which he researched to get the best performance from the engine. As for the interior, my brother also reupholsters interiors and he redid the interior himself several years ago. He also sold the carpet kit with the truck but it was not installed. So the seller is not lying in that he did have the carpet kit installed.
The seller did have another '66 but my brothers was much nicer and he was planning on keeping this one rather than his other project. I'll search Craigslist in Spokane to see if I can find the engine, rearend, lumber rack and other miscellaneous parts that my brother sold with the truck.
