That was my brother's pickup (not sure when he sold it but was recently). He put a lot of time and effort into the modifications to it. He wanted to keep the original bed but he didn't want to cut it up, thus the late model bed. He was selling it with the original bed when he had it listed.

So are we saying that this seller bought the truck off your brother and is flipping it? Hope your brother got a good price from the guy and didn't get bargained down because of this and that issues. Hate those guys personally. Several times guys have driven by and see my garage open with the Mustang and Cougar in it and you can hear them back up to ask if they are for sale. Answer, not ever and the cars are now covered so no one can see them when the door is open.
I believe so but am confirming with my brother when he sold it but was definitely in 2014. The last time I saw him post it was at $5k so the current owner appears to be making a profit.
Chevy guy's do this all the time.....bed from another era. I don't think it looks to bad. Not crazy about the lower bed line that doesn't match lower door panel. I really like the painted trim line on upper bed, doors and fenders.

Ah a cougar man. I had the '68 Cougar XR7 GT with the 390 GT engine. When I went into the Coast Guard I sold it to my brother. Who knows what happened to it after that.

I don't have to wonder since it has been under my care all 46 years of it's life.
Found out that my brother sold the truck a month or so ago with extra parts (original bed, rear end etc). Sold it for quite a bit less than currently at on E-bay.

Your brother was to kind, or hurting for cash, you know what you need to do

Lowest of the low. Practically implies he did the work on this rig. Drives super smooth and gets tone of compliments while out. All that in one month. I especially despise these people who look for others to profit off without lifting their hands much

Buying and selling for profit is just the way it is.
Honesty on the other hand, is hard to get from a seller who's only in it for profit.
Getting a killer deal then flipping it is what a lot of people do.
In order to be successful at it, you must give honest and true description of the item. This is what brings people back.
Now taking advantage of ones ignorance is despicable. Did the original owner who built this truck, need the money? Was he ignorant to the re-sale value? was he taken advantage of? Knowing the answers to these questions we can determine if the current seller is DESPICABLE or not.
I agree with all of the comments, especially that some use it as a way to flip a vehicle and make money. Could my brother have listed on e-bay, definitely, but after one failed attempt decided it was not worth the hassle. His opinion (I am with him this weekend) is that the Craigslist crowd is of a different caliber than many e-bay shoppers. He understands it is what it is but would have a different opinion of the e-bay seller if he hadn't used his Craigslist description word for word.
