I bought a 9mm Allen socket from NAPA when I had to do the front brakes on my Mariner. The local store ordered it in for me. It was about $10 plus tax.
When I did the rear brakes, I found I needed a 7mm, another not so standard size. I cheated and ground down a spare 5/16 Allen I had on hand.
I might try calling O'Reilly's and Advance to see if they have one. My local NAPA didn't have any allen sockets, but it's a small town store so he only carries the stuff that he knows people need.
I just remembered one of our shop guys was a mechanic at the local Ford dealer, so he may have one ... maybe a beer will even let me borrow it
Advance auto had a 15 piece allen socket set that had a 9mm so i bought that. cost about $50, but i got the good guy deal and he knocked off 10% .... hey, better than nothing.
so now i got everything from 4mm to 12mm or something ... only needed the 9mm for the old ones and the 7mm for the new ones....
I have about a 10 PC Torx bit kit that had the correct sized socket. Worked like a charm. Just replaced a couple of injectors on my 6.0, don't know what I'd do without these. Use them all the time.
