2004 f350 5.4 need help

2004 f350 5.4 need help
Alright I have a 04 f350 5.4l, the truck is all stock and is a work truck pretty much. I want to start doing some things to it and want to know what's best. I've heard people say to replace the 3.73 gearing with 4.10. Just looking for ideas to improve the truck

If your going to change the gears you want to go to 4.30s 3.73 to 4.10 wouldn't be worth the cost of doing the swap. 4.30s are supposed to be the sweet spot. Lots of guys here that have them seem to like them.

"Best" for what? Towing? Stop light racing? Mileage? Truck pulls? Monster truck swamp buggy racing? Mall crawling? All terrain zombie threat response team quick reaction vehicle?

Improvement- well pretty much just looking for better mileage, more power, and better sound. Towing but nothing huge. It's a work truck. A cord of wood in the bed and a dump trailer with wood or mulch, along those lines. Just trying to make my truck nice
