Hey yall, I got a situation. When I go to fill up my truck, I put the nozzle in and squeeze, (like everyone everywhere does) it flows for about 2 seconds, then it shuts off like its full. It does this everytime I go to put fuel in the tanks. Even when the tanks are empty. And when I slowly squeeze it, it foams up like crazy. Does anyone else have this issue? its a 89' F-250 Ext cab long box with dual tanks.
Check your fuel filler hoses to make sure their not pinched half closed or kinked. The rear tank on my 75Scab did the same thing. I was lazy and stopped using that tank.
Sounds like the vent hoses in each filler neck aren't venting air out as fuel goes in. Sometimes the filler neck(s) can kink. This lets less fuel flow through, and the plastic vent hose inside can end up being pretty much pinched off letting no air flow out of the tank through it.
my 88 diesel would only take fuel if i drove the driver side tire up on a 6X6 block.
i finally fixed it when i took the bed off. the vents on both tanks were blocked off.
opened the vents up, and it will now take fuel in both tanks as fast as you can put it in.

I had a customer with a similar problem -- turned out to be a stuck vent valve on the mid 19G tank --- we shot compressed air w/SeaFoam down the return path followed by vac to free the stuck vent..............
