Regearing and resizing

Regearing and resizing tires , been searching threads and after installing 37 inch tires I know I am 10 mph off on my speedo, seems regearing doesn't effect the speedo at all per searches I have read, the tire sizes do correct? Being electro. Speedo ,purchased a jet accu changer, should I use tire difference only or include reagearing changes when setting the difference. Thanks TR

you didn't need to purchase anything. the PSOM on your bronco can be changed manually. research PSOM and should get the needed info. there is a number of things needed to make the proper calculation. Revs/mile and soforth which can be obtained from the tire manufacturer site.

Gears themselves wont have any affect on the calibration.

If you don't mind me asking, how much is it going to run you to regear your axles? I don't fell like doing it myself, I'd rather pay someone so I know it is right.

When I swapped to 4.10s in my '96 it cost me around $1,000, BUT I did also get rebuild kits for both axles so take off maybe $200-$300 and also I did the work myself so no shop labor. For the front anything higher that 4.10s requires a new carrier in the front.

Ryan I was quoted 550 and axle with myself supplyng all the gears bearings etc . I tried to get all American made gears bearings (Yukon)through summits. So far the bearings are wrong sizes , front ring and pinion isn't right . Rear was 2 months from shipping. The rear ring and pinion was correct and I order that through another supplier, quick performance.com. Try and buy American made what a hassle but it will all come together Hopefully TR

Randy's ring and pinion or bronco graveyard would have probably been a better place to buy from.
