warranty question

warranty question

hey guys I had my truck repaired 10,000 miles ago for a check engine light po401

well the truck started throwing the same code EGR valve low flow its has 41000 miles on it now is this something that will be covered under warrantee?

Yes, you should be covered under two different scenarios:

One- the 5yr/60k powertrain warranty.

Two- If I remember correctly, dealer repairs are warrantied for 12mo/12k miles. Check your service invoice fine print to be sure, but I think I'm right on those numbers....

Make sure your service department goes over the system with a fine tooth comb, there's no reason you should be experiencing this again so soon after the initial repair

It should also be covered under the emissions warranty.

Emissions is 5 year 50k miles

FWIW, warranty repairs do not get extended the 12/12,000 dealership repair warranty if the original repair was made under the original truck warranty. Strange but true.

The 12/12,000 dealership warranty extension is only if paid out of pocket repairs.
