Hey all, just wondering if anyone else has had these problems:
1. Radio randomly switches channels either one up or one down.
2. Steering wheel radio controls completely inoperable for first 10 min of driving-has happened about 3x
3. Voice activation of sync system unresponsive even when talking very loud and clearly.
I have an appointment on Tuesday, just wondering how isolated this might be and what the outcome was if anyone had any of these issues.
It's a bug ridden system unfortunately. I've had mine get stuck on indexing for long periods of time about once every 6 months or so, every time I have to pull the fuse to reset it. It's a pain.
So, just dropped off my truck for above issues and the service writer said they no longer offer loaner cars. Just wondering if this is a Ford corporate thing or just my dealer. Might be looking for a new dealer a little closer to home. Thanks.

Hi, Eco12 -
I'm happy to look into the issues you're having. Do you know which software version is currently installed in your truck? You can check under SYNC SOFTWARE UPDATES on your SYNC owner account or PM me your VIN, and I'll take a look. Here's the link:

Hi, jntibs -
Do you use iTunes to download and store music? Are you familiar with our SYNC My iTunes tool? Let me know and I'll provide more details.

I love to help you with this, hemm! Which model year do you drive, and does your truck have a touchscreen?
So to update, got my truck back tonight. I guess the culprit for my sync/radio issues was the steering wheel controls. They said that they were shorting out and caused the issue. As for the speaker, it was soaked when they removed the door panel, so they replaced the speaker and the door gasket. Happy to be back in my truck, but not so much by the customer service I received

Jaclyn that worked, just have to play with it and figure out the nuances....
Like, how do I get it to play music I have on my phone....
For music, I use my USB cord, although you could also stream via Bluetooth. The cord is a better option for me since I always seem to need a charge. Once plugged in, press the voice command button and when prompted say "USB". Once USB is displayed on your radio screen, then use the voice command button and you can say "play track", "play artist", or "play album". There should be a sheet of all the voice commands in the owners manual package, which might help. You can also play pandora, providing you don't mind the data usage. Hope this helps.

We do have a list available commands on our site, Eco12.

Oh yeah, hemm, I forgot to explain the music part, sorry.
You can play music two ways, you can connect your iPhone using the USB port, or stream through Bluetooth Audio.
Open the music application on your phone, press the voice command button on the steering wheel, and say either USB or BLUETOOTH AUDIO. The music will then begin playing through the vehicle. Enjoy!
