leather interior question?

My lariat has the light brown leather interior. My Question is. My drivers side arm rest has a cracked in it now. So both passenger and driver side arm rest are leather top and bottom.

So can't I take them off ? Switch them? ANd have fresh leather on top and the crack now under ?

How do u take these arm rests off?

I'm wanting to say I don't think so, but I don't remember why. As far as taking them off, see if this helps,

Yes you can. Pull the leather off both sides and simply swap them. You can leave the foam in place.

Driver side goes to passenger. Passenger side goes to driver.

Just did this yesterday on a 2001 Lariat trim truck.

It may depend on the year, too. My 99 seats aren't symmetric; they're mirror images of one another. The outside edge is more curved than the edge against the center console. I think it was 2001 that the seats changed, if memory serves me.

The armrests aren't leather, they're vinyl. But that is a good tip though, mine has recently formed a little crack in it.
