Guys, my partner at work today was working her part time job and responded to a call with a med unit involved in an accident. Upon arrival a parent's worst fear was realized. The medic trapped in the ambulance was her daughter! She will require a couple of surgeries in the near future and should make a full recovery after a lengthy period. My partner and I have been partners going on 19 years now and I have watched her children grow, and even taught her daughter. If you are into praying, please send one up for all involved. Only one person injured as she was on the passenger side that took the impact before rolling over and taking a pole to the windshield. Thanks
Good thing they were in my mother's Volvo. A kid was texting and didn't see that she was stopped at a red light. She got rear ended hard - he never hit the brakes, pushed her into the car in front of her, which went into the car in front of it. Several car pile-up.
None of the doors (not even the fuel door) will close in the Volvo... Although she drove home, the car that rear-ended her didn't. I believe her car will be totaled.
Those Volvo's protect the passengers well - thank god.
Thank you guys very much. After the first surgery tonight we are told there will be at least 3 more. Non weight bearing for at least 12-14 weeks with rehab for at least a year. She is alive though!!! I am praying for your partner. A long road to recovery ahead, but like you said she made it and that is what is most important. (I didn't mean to hijack your thread either - seemed silly to start a new one though) It's been an interesting weekend and not in a good way.
