They could all be LEDs. It doesn't matter. They should still go off with the switch. LEDs don't magically change the electromechanical open/close contact action of the switch.

No they can't, agree, but because the PCM pull up resistor (monitoring circuit) is after the electromechanical open/close contact action of the switch that is how the PCM monitors brake circuit functionality.

And none of this is in any way, by the furthest stretch of the imagination, related to the function of the parking light switch. It's been established long ago, and in countless threads, that LEDs affect how the PCM senses brake pedal activity. But for at least the third time (and I'll bet a nickel the OP got it the first time), the PCM/brake pedal sensing is ONLY disengage the cruise control, and to unlock the torque converter on automatic-equipped trucks. You could take the PCM out of the truck, and it would have ZERO effect on the function of the parking lights (even a cursory study of the EVTM will make that clear).

This thread is about the OP's parking lights not turning off with the switch. It is not about the transmission (there's no indication that the OP even has an automatic transmission), the cruise control or the PCM.

Agree, OP also stated complete rewiring. Was looking beyond the obvious I guess. You win ... , I'm out ...
