68 parking lights

68 parking lights
A buddy of mine has a 68, when he puts his light switch to the first detent the parking lights come on but when he pulls the switch out to turn the lights on the head lights come on and the parking lights go out, is his problem in the switch or where else can we start to look for the problem

Exactly which parking lights are you talking about ?
The side markers are actually Running lights as the 2nd filment in certain Turn signal lenses.
I know in some Ford vehicles the 2nd filment in the TS went out with Headlights on and just the tail-lights and marker lights stayed on.
