Chrome strip on tailgate

My 77 F-250 has a peice of chrome on the top of the tailgate. Doesn't look stock, but I'd like to find another peice to replace it (Its all scratched up bad, too bad to buff out). It has a screw on each end that holds it on. Does anyone carry this peice I'm talking about?

Do you mean the chrome trim just above the tailgate release?

Don't think so, its a peice that runs the entire length of the tailgate on the top. Let me try and draw a picture here so to speak, the tailgate is up and closed:

Its contoured and bent to go over the edge and fit on both sides. I think what your talking about is the rectangular outline of chrome that goes around the hole where the latch is, right? I'll try to get a picture later this evening.

That's okay, you want a Tailgate protector.

That's an aftermarket part!
