$325 ($273 U.S) here, if I do both tanks........no, not 38 gallon tanks either!
One time I got 14.7 US gallons for $40 lol. Probably not gonna get that again for a long time. Gotta love the occasional major discounts though. I could barely fill my rear tank and top off my front tank with that.
You might hold off on any spending on it til you FILL the gas tanks(s). I almost went into cardiac arrest the first time a fill up was over $100.
Lol,yeah I know what you mean. One of the tanks had good gas in it, and the other I don't think does, so I ran the good one dry and spent about $30 to fill it up almost half way. Figure for a full tank, we're talkin' $60/tank. That equals out to $120/fill up. Then again, with 2 19 gallons tanks equaling 38 gallons...not sure what my mpg will be, but I realize now that it will just SWILL it in no time.
I don't know how I got it, but I can get between 10-15 mpg in my truck. It might have something to do with the rebuilt engine/cam or the rear end (3.00 gears) but it is possible to get "decent" gas mileage with these big trucks. This is all without towing of course. I'm not sure what I get but I towed the race car from here to Jackson, MN and it took one and a half tanks. If I do the math I get around 7mpg which I don't consider terrible for this old truck.
