As you can see in the pictures, the leading edge of the door skin has de-bonded. I think this was caused by an incorrect door seal the previous owner had installed; it was too thick and caused binding when the door was shut. Ultimately the welds gave out. This is my passenger door. No other serious discrepancies exist one this door aside from some cosmetic issues that plague the entire truck; the paint sucks. The only hesitation I have with this is I am told getting the replacement to align could be a chore. This split seems pretty bad though.
Anyways... Do the pros of replacing outweigh the cons of the alignment issue? Thanks!
The split goes all the way to the tab at the top of this picture:

Bottom pic... As you can see there is a substantial amount of separation; not sure if a repair is feasible:
The frame has been distorted. The door skin is only folded over that inner frame. I had the same thing with some horrible chinese F truck doors. Ended up dumping them.
I'm sure it is fixable with a hammer, dolly and some welding. Tricky to get just right but possible. The door would need re-finished afterwards. If you can find a clean used or decent new door that would probably be easier.
