What have you done to clean the lines? I have unfortunately came across this problem now. Pulled the office tube filter and blacked out with a Vaseline like grease. No flow what so ever.
Please help. What components do I have to replace as well? Obviously the compressor, but what else have you replaced with luck in making it work.
go to your local jobber parts store, not your local box store and ask for a A/C flush kit.
Flushing the A/C system isn't to bad of a job, but requires that you do a thorough job and use the right chemicals.
Usually the black death goo is due to a compressor that died a bad death. You will need to pull the lines in a few places such as the compressor, condenser an evaporator(at least that is how I do a A/C flush). You should replace the accumulator or expansion valve depending on the system and orifice tube.
Make sure that you clean everything in the system 100%!
if the cooling lines are thin fins, these cannot be properly flushed and need replaced. Flush kits are meant for older design with the oval/circular cooling passages. If this was my truck i'd be pulling all lines to flush and replacing cores, condesnor, drier, compressor, o-tube and rear expansion valve.
