Need help with engine setup

Ok guys, I'm new here so bear with me. I've got a stock (as far as I know) 351 400m engine that I just pulled from a 1977 F-100. I've removed the intake and was curious as to the best, performance wise, replacement for the intake. And curious if I should upgrade to 4v. And some replacement cam ideas would be nice. Thanks to any and all replies.

Holy crap, 2 bumps in a half-hour period when most folks are just getting off work. Aren't you an eager one. Perhaps you're mistaking this for a chat room.

Yes, you should upgrade to a 4-barrel intake. There is a whole section dedicated to 335-series motors; while folks here certainly will have some good advice, that's all they talk about in that forum.

I'm certainly okay; it's YOUR expectations with regard to response time that need re-calibrated. All walks of life come to this forum, all the way from experts down to folks learning to use a computer for the first time. If you expect folks to figure out where you fall in between that in your 6 hyperactive posts so far, then that's another expectation that needs corrected.

I chimed in with my own advice, and pointed you to an even more useful resource here on FTE. If your responses to those are poorly-typed, passive-aggressive quips, then I don't see you falling into people's good graces here. This forum is what you make of it. I hope you find what you're looking for. But best not be a brat while you do it.

I don't think randomly popping off at people for 2 bumps means you're a saint. You should chill. I'm hyperactive, but you have anger problems. First time using the forum, how am I supposed to know?

BTW, welcome to FTE. There are a lot of good people here more than willing to help with any problems you may have but you have to give them a chance. When you post something, it could be several hours before anyone answers, even a day.
Not everyone is sitting in front of a computer screen waiting to answer questions.

1. X2 Dillon on just relax and give us a few minuets, alot of us do not just set around waiting on opportunities to help, so yea maybe more than just 10 minuets ok?

2. DO NOT wise crack or get lippy with fmc400, you need to be way more open minded and polite, yes I said POLITE. You know the saying, more bees with honey than s$%^?

Got some $ to spend? http://www.summitracing.com/int/sear...=351M%20intake

Better get a carb to go with it, might as well get a 400 crank and make that 351M a 400 and then get serious about it.

Read and learn History of the Ford 351M

Keep reading...M-Block 351M/400 Parts Reference

And a touch more....351M/400 Performance Build Up

Take that attitude here lol, they will really welcome you....351M, what are some tricks to this motor - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

If you want to get serious. http://www.tmeyerinc.com/
