no acceleration

i will be drive down the road and sopmetimes my truck will spit and studer. it happens alot when i have my light on or my sterio basses hard, when i roll up/down my windows, when my blinkers go on. just about anytime i use electric things on my truck. someone please help this is diving me crazy

Have you checked the battery terminal/cables for cleanliness and tightness? Only thing I can think of right now. And turn down that stereo.

get a bigger altinator and run the biggest cables from your battery you can. make sure you have a good ground to the motor as well.

Test the ignition system per the Haynes manual, and check those battery terminals.

if its spitting and spuddering while driving when you turn the stereo on or use other electric devices its because there isnt enough spark getting to the plugs. if the alt isnt generating enough electricity that is what will happen.

the alt is good, i had it looked at today and it looks like the wiring harness going to the coil is bad. has anyone ever rebuilt one of these what kinda connections would you recommend. they dont carry them at ford anymore so i think i am going to have to make one.

have you checked out the local junkyards, one from a bronco or truck would work im sure. im no electrician so i tend to stray from wiring .

With a Haynes manual, you should be able to repair yours to perfect working order, even if it LOOKS like a ratnest.

i rebuilt the wiring harness today and it didnt help, i noticed that the voltage on my coil was 7.5 and the connector was 12-12.5 when it was not connected can someone please tell me what this means

High resistance somewhere between the battery and the coil, most likely at the ignition switch or one of your repairs.
