Also...try removing the 221310 from the equation and replace with 221154

Interesting that on your one gauge it's an asterisk that precedes the F ....

Hmm, I never noticed that, until now.

I also just noticed my "unit type" in the PID editor for both eot & ect is in Celsius.

Yes, and that is why the equation subtracts 32 degrees from both inputs...

Please say: right?

Gave me a delta of 77.

I'll be honest here: I bet my setup would work on your truck, something arcane is wrong here with yours...

I'd take someone close to you up on the offer to double check your setup...

The truth is out there... there is no magic to this -- it is just a computer system and it's network it reads the data off of ...

I'm new to this and just trying to figure all of this out.

I'm assuming the "OBD2 Mode and PID" entry in the PID editor screens is the "address" or "ID #" of the data coming from the ECU throguth the OBD2 port and that is telling the TP app where to look.

I'm also assuming that each of these PID Id's will return a specific value range (voltage or I/O?) based on the sensor design.

I also assume that the formula takes that data (either entered as PID number or by name given to that PID within torque) and converts it to the output data for the virtual gauges?

I imagine with the age of these 6.0 PS engines and the amount of tinkering that people have done, someone has a list of the PID ID numbers, their value ranges, and what sensor they are for the common ECU flashes. Can anyone here tell me where to find such a list or can point me in the direction I would need to go to get this info to compile such a list?

I know every input and output to and from the ECU has to have a unique ID, and each input and output should have a value range. With this information I believe I could create some more custom PIDs and displays for TP.

I have read that, thanks.
I guess I'll just start by doing a scan (if I can ever get my adapter to power up on my truck).

Check your fuses. I think it's the same fuse as the power point. If it's blown you won't have power @ the OBDII plug.

OBD2 port is on the same fuse as cigarette lighter.

The #12 fuse is good and both 12v outlets on the dash work (acc outlet and lighter plug). The adapter worked fine in a buddy's Tacoma. I am at work and don't have a meter, but I can only assume there is no power, since the unit powers up in his truck and does nothing in mine.
